THE BOY WHO WENT TO FIND GOD

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Jimmy. He was about seven years of age. He was a playful boy, always ready to go on new adventures. One day, Jimmy was in the kitchen making lunch to go to the park near his house. His mother saw him and asked where he was up to. Jimmy said: - “Oh, hi mum…I am going to find God”. He was well dressed in trousers, a white shirt, and an anorak. She laughed and replied: - “Ok then…but don’t be late. Dinner is at 6:00 pm”. So, he went straight ahead to the park, which was a huge one, with many boulevards, trees, and flowers, some of them with a fragrance but others quite smelly. He had already been there at least three times. So, he knew the way to go and come. When he got there, he raised his hands as if he thanked God for everything, paying attention to the colors of that scene, the smell of the flowers, and the sun shining bright. He thought:” Well, it will be a perfect afternoon.”. Then, he met a woman, who seemed to be homeless, sitting on a bench. He sat beside her gently, took lunch from his bag, and started eating it. At first, they did not talk one to the other, but as she stared at him, he became shy and decided to offer a part of it to her at once. Then, both started laughing and chatting for a long time. They talked about many things, their likes and dislikes, and their lives. He said he would be an airplane pilot when older, as he likes seeing the planes rising and coming down from the skies at the airport like silver birds taking people to different places. She said that one day she would be a model, try on many pretty clothes, and go around the world knowing many places and people. Then, he looked at his watch and said, “Well, time for me to go. My mother said dinner would be at 6:00 pm, and she will get angry if I am not there at the right time”. They hugged themselves happily and said goodbye. Fortunately, he got home on time, washed his hands, and sat at the table to have dinner. While having dinner, his mother asked - “Did you find God?”. - “Yes, of course, mum – And you know what? God is a woman. She has the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. We chatted for a long time and talked about many things. The afternoon was perfect. I told her about my future as an airplane pilot.” said Jimmy, almost laughing. His mother and father asked for more information about her, how old she was, what she looked like, and which clothes she wore. And he gave a complete description of her as it seemed they could be pals for quite a long time. Her mother was surprised and asked him if she could go to see God with him another time on another day. He looked at her, got happy, and told her it would be a pleasure to take her to see God again: “I am sure God will adore you, mum! Deem yourself invited.”. She felt abetted. After the lull, they had dinner full of joy and slated to go to the park on the next day. Alike, the old woman named Angelina found another homeless woman at the same park who asked suspiciously: “Why are you in such a good mood? “. Angelina replied “I have just eaten some cookies with God.”. Almost laughing, she continued: “He is so much younger than I expected with a beautiful face, blond hair, and green eyes. Made my afternoon and my life colored.”
