THE CALLED OFF WEDDING PT 1

Well, the most important day of her life came up. Carla had already tried her wedding dress on, and everything was perfect. The wedding party promised to be a great event. All families and guests got together, to celebrate that particular moment. She looked after everything ...all the details when her groom called her up, and asked her out, saying that they should talk about something really important. They went to a park, hand in hand, and when she looked into his eyes, she suddenly understood the whole situation. It was an arranged marriage, where both families, aimed to join fortune. She knew about this, and they felt sorry for themselves, for they weren´t in love though they had respect and tenderness for each other. It was a tough decision, but both of them decided to call off the wedding. They knew if they got married, their lives would be a lie to him and her. Again, Carla and Yousef knew that the main purpose of this wedding was to join fortunes, and they came to the conclusion they wouldn’t live a life like this. This was a family matter. But how they would say this to all the guests? How they would say this to their families? Time was passing by, and they were still at the park looking for a way to escape from all this mess. It was an overwhelming situation because both of them were pressured to get married. This would be good for the families, but not for them. Carla and Yousef always thought of being married for love, not for an arrangement between families, and their only fault was letting this lie go so far. “Let’s end with this!!! “Yousef said. Carla said she was really frightened. Even with fear, they came back to the church. Everyone was there. They went to the altar and said loud and clear. “THIS WEDDING IS OVER !!!!”. Without more explanation, they got away from the church, and all guests came down with the news. Carla’s mother and father got disappointed and upset. Yousef’s father and mother didn’t know what to do. In between, most guests were asking “What could have happened?” A bomb had gone off due to that unfortunate situation.
